Cleans Your Skin and Relax

I've tried a lot of different product but nothing makes my skin feel as clean and radiant as the Elizabeth Dehn Vitamin B Cleansing Oil and Makeup Remover. Not to mention that it smells amazing!   It’s a “next level” oil cleanser in that it’s formulated to be used in either the traditional manner (see below) or it can be effortlessly rinsed off with water only. When water hits this cleansing oil, it turns into a creamy, milky cleanser. Rinsing with water alone is fine, but if you’re using it to remove makeup, I do recommend you follow the traditional cleansing method and use a cloth to help remove residue. The ED4OLO Cleansing Oil smells incredible and fruity, like fresh pineapple. The formula features papain, a fruit enzyme that helps to exfoliate and soften skin, and a natural vitamin b complex to help detoxify and tone. I love the versatility of this cleanser. If I’m in a hurry, I can massage it in, rinse, and go. My skin is noticeably even-toned and happy. If I rinse off this cleanser with water, I do follow up with a facial oil.

Now, for the best part! Once I've cleansed my skin, I wet a washcloth with hot (not scalding) water, wring it out, and press it over my face until the cloth cools off. Take your time and inhale deeply, because the scent of lavender or pineapple is going to enhance your ability to relax. When the cloth cools, I repeat and let the day melt away. After you've had a few moments to chill, wipe off the oil with a of my favourite ways to end the day!

If like me, you want to know 'how things work', here's a bit more of an explanation of how the addition of tropical fruit makes this product so amazing.

Besides being tasty, papaya fruit has the enzyme Papain, a natural proteolytic enzyme. This type of enzyme has the unique ability to exfoliate dead cells without damaging or irritating even the most sensitive skin. Papain also helps brighten dull or sallow complexions and can help to reduce the appearance of sun-damage and mild breakouts. Papaya has naturally high concentrations of vitamins A, C, and E and is a rich source of alpha‐linolenic acid and caryophyllene, two phytochemicals with strong anti‐inflammatory properties. So enamored with papaya, we couldn’t pass up the chance to also use bothpapain and papaya seed oil. The oil from papaya seeds is full of rich nutrients, fatty acids and has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects for clean, nourished skin.

Everyone is familiar with pumpkins, right? Even if we have a few months still before they make their ubiquitous appearance all over America. As a natural source of salicylic acid to gently exfoliate and improve your skin texture, pumpkin seed oil became an almost obvious choice. Pumpkin seeds are a wonderful source of zinc and Omegas 3 & 6, helping to improve skin elasticity.  Remember to thank those pumpkins this October when you’re wiping off all of that costume makeup (with your Elizabeth Dehn Cleanser of course). Pumpkin Seed Oil can also act as an accelerator, helping the skin to absorb nutrients quickly. It is used in many anti‐aging formulas and initiates skin recovery from various types of damage, including photo-damage.

Using organic phospholipids and the latest encapsulation technologies, the pumpkin and papain ingredients is perfect for dry, nutrient deficient skin. The ingredient we use boasts a novel delivery system that enhances the penetration of active extracts and the natural plant material. This delivery system, when applied to the skin, can help to inhibit trans‐epidermal water loss (TEWL) to increase moisturization. And remember, the key to anti-aging is keeping skin properly moisturized and well fed. Speaking of which, both pumpkin and papaya are rich and natural sources of the Vitamin B Complex. The term B-complex is a less complicated way of refering to vitamins B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenate), B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cyancobalamine), and folic acid. These vitamins help detoxify and tone your skin, while also helping to regulate oil production and calm inflammation.
